History.
The Aleutia was constructed as a long range cruiser, built on a steel commercial fish boat hull. The boat has a fascinating history as it was originally built for the late Dian Fossy whom people know for her work with Gorillas in the mountains of Rwanda. Fast forward a few years, the boat was acquired by Alaska set net salmon fishermen from Kodiak Island. We took delivery of her in 2021 and began the refit process to dial in the vessel from everything Mike has learned over his 12 years of building/operating the Milo Surf Boat.
